What is a capture channel and which channels does diio support?

A capture channel is the specific way a conversation reaches diio for analysis. Knowing which ones are available helps you understand what you can connect, how to configure each one, and what to expect from the analysis in each case.

The four channel groups

1. Video call

diio can join video calls with the bot, or record the video call with the Chrome plugin.

For Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, the bot joins automatically if you have your calendar connected (it connects when you log in with Google or Microsoft SSO). No additional configuration is required for any of the three.

If you plan to record meetings with the plugin, you can only do so in Meet and Teams; for Zoom you must use the bot.

2. Phone call

diio captures calls from connected telephony platforms. Supports:

HubSpot Call: calls made from HubSpot are imported automatically.

Aircall: calls are synced when they end.

Cell phone audio: record the call on your phone and upload it to the diio WhatsApp chat.

3. Messaging

diio analyzes written conversations from three platforms:

WhatsApp: through the diio Chrome extension + WhatsApp Web.

LinkedIn: through the diio Chrome extension.

Intercom: through the direct Intercom integration.

For WhatsApp and LinkedIn, the extension captures conversations when you open or refresh the tab in Chrome. It does not capture in real time from your phone.

4. In-person meeting

If the meeting was in person, you can upload the audio recorded on your phone. The flow is the same as for cell phone calls: upload the file to the diio WhatsApp chat and diio will ask whether it is a meeting or a call.

What diio does not capture

Email. Gmail, Outlook, and any email client are excluded.

Telegram, Slack, or other messaging platforms. Only WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and Intercom.

Meetings in Chrome without the extension installed. If Meet or Teams are open in a Chrome without the diio extension, the bot is the only alternative.
