The transcript search in the Video tab allows you to find any word or phrase within the recording and jump directly to the moment it was said. In long meetings, this is much faster than playing the entire video looking for a specific fragment.
How to search
Open the Video tab of the conversation.
In the right panel (transcript), click the "Search transcript…" search bar.
Type the word or phrase you are looking for. diio highlights all matches in the transcript.
Click on any highlighted result to jump to the exact moment in the video.
Practical use cases
The search is especially useful for finding specific moments without watching the entire video:
Sales and negotiation. Search "price", "budget", or "competitor" to jump directly to those moments in the conversation.
Recruiting. Search the name of the candidate's previous company, or "availability" to go directly to that part of the interview.
Support and post-sales. Search "problem", "error", or the name of a specific feature the client mentioned.
Coaching. Search "objection", "I don't know", or the executive's name to find moments where they intervened and evaluate them.
Automatic scrolling with playback
When the "Scroll with playback" toggle is active, the transcript follows the video: the block being played is highlighted and visible in the panel. Useful when you play the video straight through and want to read the transcript at the same time without manually moving the scroll.
Deactivate it when using the search bar so you don't lose your position in the results.
