How to analyze your first in-person meeting in diio

When the meeting takes place in person and there is no video call involved, diio analyzes it from audio you record on your phone and upload via WhatsApp. The process is simple, but requires a couple of manual steps worth knowing before your first meeting.

Before the meeting: schedule the event in the calendar

Create the event in your calendar (Google Calendar or Outlook) with the meeting participants, but without a video call link. This way diio knows it is an in-person meeting and can associate the audio you upload with that event.

During the meeting: record audio on your phone

Record the audio of the meeting with any recording app on your phone. There is no specific diio app for this: any native or third-party recorder works. The important thing is that the audio captures all participants' voices with sufficient clarity.

After the meeting: upload the audio to diio via WhatsApp

Open the diio WhatsApp chat on your phone.

Attach the meeting audio file.

diio asks whether it is a call or a meeting. Answer "meeting".

Indicate the participants and their emails.

Associate the audio with the corresponding calendar event.

Done. Within a few minutes it appears as a Meeting in "All Conversations".

Why it is important to indicate participants and their emails

diio uses participants' emails to associate the meeting with the correct contacts and opportunities in the CRM. If you don't provide them, diio can analyze the conversation but will not be able to sync it correctly.

It also uses participant information to attribute who said what in the transcript, which affects commitment detection by owner.
