How to create a Specific Field that travels to the CRM

A specific field linked to the CRM is a field that diio extracts from each conversation and that, when syncing, is automatically written to a property in your CRM. It is the way to bring structured information from conversations directly to the contact, company, or deal record in your CRM.

Before you start

To link a diio field with the CRM you need:

The CRM property you want to link to must already exist in the CRM. If it does not exist, the CRM Settings Admin must create it first in HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, or Odoo before you can select it from diio.

Have the Coordinator or Team Administrator role in diio.

Steps to link the field

Go to the "Fields" tab.

Enable the specific field you want to link and expand its configuration.

In the "Link with CRM" section, select the CRM object it corresponds to: Contact, Company, or Deal (the exact name varies by CRM).

Select the CRM property from the available list.

Save.

Which CRM object gets updated

The object depends on what the field extracts and the structure of your CRM:

What happens when syncing

When the executive syncs the conversation to the CRM, diio writes the value extracted by the field to the linked property of the corresponding object. The sync goes from diio to the CRM. If the value is edited directly in the CRM, that change is not reflected in diio.
